I called the Ranger Station on Friday and was informed the gate was open. They close when the weather is bad, which is when we want to go. However, I went there this morning and the gate and restrooms are open.
This will be an easy run IF THERE IS NO SNOW. , it can be moderate to hard (there are a couple of hills to climb and with snow they can be fun!). We will meet at the rest area on I-25 just south of Santa Fe (26 Miles North on I25 from Hwy 550 exit) at 9:30 Leaveing at 9:45 and once all gathered we will head to the trailhead. Bring water, lunch, clothes to fit the weather, and a great attitude. For any beginner this is a great trail and for first timers it is also a great trail, so hope to see there.
