A Day ride at Gordy's Hill, near Socorro, NM. Meet at Truck Stop Gas Station, west side of interstate, off of I-25, north of Socorro. EXIT 156 at Lemitar, NM , at 9:30am and we will leave there by 9:45. Arrive early and eat at the truck stop, good food!!! Allow 1 1/2 hours drive time from Albuquerque area to get there.
We will start off running Coyote Hills which is listed as a hard trail and probably one the the hardest "hard" ones out there. we can get rigs thru with 35s and at least one locker and a working winch ( which will get used ) The trail starts off with an adrenaline pumping gate keeper of a 10ft high water fall and does not disappoint after that. This will require a well built 4x4 with low range, aired down, good off road tires, good mechanical condition, recovery points front and back and a working winch. A CB radio is helpful and we will likely be on Channel 4. There is always the possibility of vehicle damage on about any trail down there, use your own judgement.
