These are various photos from last few years of Club Picnics, held each year in June.
Our 2025 annual picnic was held at the City of Albuquerque Open Space Carolino Canyon upper picnic area. 46 members and guest attended, making this picnic one of the better attended in years. Members came in from as far away as Datil and Grants. An new applicant, now a guest, joined us from Santa Fe. Folks started to arrive at 3:00, with food served at 4:00, and a business meeting at 5:00.
Due to fire danger we were unable to use charcoal to grill so members brought their propane grills: Jonathan Rivera, Susan and JP Bowdoin, and Allison Martinez and Anthony Weaver. Thanks to these members we were able to enjoy hamburgers and hot dogs hot from the grill. Members brought an amazing assortment of side dishes and deserts for the potluck. Folks lingered for a while after the meeting and everyone pitched in to help clean up.
Carolino Canyon was a nice change from our usual spot at Oat Flats. Folks agreed that we should try to have it at Carolino Canyon next year.
