Had 11 4x4's meet at Sky City Casino on a cloudy cool Saturday morning. We drove down to the dirt turnoff and drove to the base of the climb up through Rinconada canyon. This was steep and rocky, but not muddy.
Beautiful views at our lunch spot. Drove to the top of Mt Taylor. Very windy, but no rain yet.
Started down the north forest road and got some sleet.
Low range roads.
Had a major hail storm with thunder at the air up spot where the pavement starts. Glad we were off the high mountain before this storm hit.
Finished up with a BBQ sandwich at Junkyard Brewery.
