Eight 4x4's drove into the snowy Jemez Mts for an unusual April Snow ride. We drove up past Paliza CG and followed FR 266 and FR 137. We went up as far as we could and turned around in about 6 inches of snow. It snowed on us all day.
Had lunch and decided to try Cabezon/ White Mesa dirt road but lots of mud. Drove back into town and turned off onto dirt roads just west of Rio Rancho, off hwy 550. Had fun playing in the sand.
Finished up around 4 pm, and some of us went to Turtle Mountain Brewery for a great meal.
Lots of snow, mud and sand helped us have a fun day.
Thanks to everyone.
